THE SEARCH COMIC STRIP

My character  is different from the other characters in the story because she lives in a country where different ethnic groups coexist and are very mixed in their daily life.  We have some territories that are particular for some communities, but the three ethinc groups: black, indigenous and mestizos live mainly interwined.  We also have discrimination and racism like in Australia, but the cultural barriers  are bit more blurry here.  That's why my character says that she figured out that they were friendly and spiritual. She has interacted during her life with different cultures for a long time, so she believes that australian aborigines are also like that. Also, she shows antoher side of how we deal with different cultures: assuming too much. Because she thought that sailing in the ocean of that region could be similar to Colombia, in consequence she got lost on a island. That's important to take into account because when you travel to a different country you have to be prepared, to do some research, to ask questions to locals and behave in a prudent  and respectful manner.

  1. Hello Cristina.
I liked your post. I really like your characters because don't have any stereotyped, I think so. Also, you have created the colorful scenes, and I like your crocodile hahaha..
I can see in your comic how people from different cultures, places can work in teams and share their world each them and to make friends without problems or by to be from different places.

    Thanks for share.

  2. Hello Crsitina.
Good comic, it was interesting the way your character thought about the aborigenes because she didn't have a negative prejudices about them.
I liked that you changed the story a little just by putting proffesor Crane into a ritual party with the natives, so I guess Talbot wasn't bad at all, he was just looking for some fun outside the city.
    Well done.
