Laura Navas (comic)

My character in this comic, might distinguish from Sandy and Tommy, in the way of language, and more with Sandy because she's a white girl, native from Australia, with white skin, but at the same time, I have things  in common with Sandy and Tommy. With Sandy,  we both don't know how is the life in a community, we haven't grew up in a communitie and we don't know well what they have lived, we can only watch from outside and based on that, we can believe and think, what we want but always respecting the communities. About Tommy, who is a community person with dark skin and different traits, belief and customs, I can tell when he feels like an outsider just because he is different from the others and he has different skin color. It happens sometimes, there are people who doesn't respect any other religion or belief, not even a different skin color. That's why when you go to another country, people look at you weird and they make you feel like an outsider or like you don't belong there, just because you're different.

  1. Hi Laura, I liked your comic.
I think it doesn't change at all the story, just gives the story a little twist but the events are the same. And what you said about being different, I think you are right about that. People are afraid of being different and that's why they destroy whatever they think is just not like them. Touching.. hahaha jk.

  2. Hello Laura.
I liked that you arrived to rescue Tommy and I liked the storm and the sea when there was problems with the trip, the characters have the description of the history, I don't sure if was necessary put a Tommy in loincloth xD, or maybe you wanted to symbolize his community.
On the other hand I agree when you said that we don't know about others cultures, we have a superficial idea of them and yes, we have to respect them, because from each of us we can learn many things. Also I think that when we have the opportunity to know about other cultures we should try search, read and ask about these for our personal growth like future languages teachers.

You did a good job. :D
